Group Talks & Local History Events- I have a range of local history talks available to be booked, price dependent on venue type/time of day etc. I have previously given talks to numerous private groups including U3a, North Meols Family History Society, Probus Groups, Brighter Living Group, Rotary and Mothers Union, as well as in public spaces such as The Atkinson. Venue's such as public houses & bars have also booked me to do talks. Please email secretsandland@gmail.com for more information. I also run my own bi-monthly event called 'BYO Local History & Quiz Night', details advertised well in advance via my social media pages.

Guided Walks- Like my talks, I can offer local guided walks. Previous participants have included Merseyside Civic Heads Day, Southport Learning Trust and students from Meols Cop High School in Southport.  I also offer public guided walks, with tickets on sale well in advance via my social media pages.

Building Histories - I can research the history of any building within Southport, whether that be residential or a business address.  The Windmill Pub, Parkinson's Books, Tappers Cafe and Croziers have all enjoyed this service I offer.

 

Freelance Writing Services - I have produced articles for magazines and also blogs for the Southport Townscape Heritage Project. I currently write a quarterly heritage blog for the Your Southport website. You can get a feel for my work by reading the blog section of this website.
